Saudi Helicopter Company Signs Business Jet Letter of Intent with Bombardier
en.Wedoany.com Reported - Dimension News, July 21, 2026 – Saudi Arabia's The Helicopter Company (THC) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Canada's Bombardier at the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom, planning to purchase up to 60 business jets.
The business jet letter of intent covers a firm order for 12 aircraft, including five Challenger 3500s, five Global 5500s, and two Global 8000s, along with purchase options for an additional 48 business jets. This deal marks a significant step for THC in expanding from helicopter operations into the fixed-wing business jet sector. THC CEO Arnaud Martinez stated: "Our vision has always been to become a general aviation champion from Saudi Arabia to the world."
Bombardier CEO Éric Martel noted that the agreement is a recognition of Bombardier's business jet products and reflects the company's long-term commitment to growth in the Saudi market. THC is owned by the Saudi Public Investment Fund, and this expansion aims to meet the growing demand for private aviation driven by Saudi Arabia's tourism and business activities.
