Tigerair Taiwan currently operates nine Airbus A320neo family aircraft powered by GTF engines and nine Airbus A320ceo aircraft powered by IAE V2500 engines.

Pratt & Whitney will support these engines through a 12-year EngineWise comprehensive service agreement, ensuring predictable maintenance costs and optimal efficiency. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2028.

Rick Deurloo, President of Pratt & Whitney Commercial Engines, stated that this latest GTF order once again demonstrates Tigerair Taiwan's trust in Pratt & Whitney as the exclusive power provider for its fleet. The GTF engine will continue to support Tigerair Taiwan's regional fleet expansion while delivering best-in-class fuel efficiency.

Joyce Huang, Chairman of Tigerair Taiwan, said that Pratt & Whitney has been a trusted partner since the airline's launch in 2014. The new A321neo fleet powered by GTF engines will drive the next phase of growth, serving passengers to more destinations with lower seat costs.

Compared to previous-generation engines, the GTF reduces fuel consumption by 20% and noise footprint by 75%. More than 90 customers worldwide operate over 2,800 GTF-powered aircraft, with a backlog of over 8,000 GTF engines reflecting strong market demand. The engine's geared architecture will lay the foundation for next-generation propulsion technology.
