The investment is funded by Pratt & Whitney Canada and supported by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada and the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie du Québec. Satheeshkumar Kumarasingam, President of Pratt & Whitney Canada, stated that this strategic investment in the Longueuil facility will enhance industrial capabilities to better support customers and meet growing global demand, while solidifying the company's long-term role as a pillar of Quebec's aerospace ecosystem and a major contributor to Canada's aviation industry.

With this investment, Pratt & Whitney Canada will boost the industrial capacity of its largest manufacturing facility, which currently employs nearly 4,500 people and produces engines for regional, business, general aviation, and rotorcraft platforms. The facility plans to introduce automated production lines, modern machinery, and cutting-edge digital processes to improve overall operational efficiency and precision.
