Airbus delivers 57 commercial aircraft in August, cumulative 475 aircraft year-to-date

During the month, the company delivered 57 commercial aircraft to customers, bringing cumulative deliveries for the first eight months of 2026 to 475 aircraft, an increase of approximately 9% compared to 434 aircraft in the same period of 2025. As of the end of July, Airbus had delivered 418 aircraft cumulatively, with 57 additional deliveries in August.
In August 2026, Airbus secured gross orders for 67 commercial aircraft, including 8 A350F freighters ordered by an undisclosed customer. As of the end of August, Airbus had accumulated 1,157 gross orders in 2026; after deducting cancellations, net orders stood at 1,091 aircraft.
Airbus's full-year target for 2026 is to deliver approximately 870 commercial aircraft. Based on the cumulative 475 aircraft delivered in the first eight months, the company has completed approximately 55% of its annual delivery target, with roughly 395 aircraft still to be delivered from September to December. In the first half of 2026, Airbus delivered 351 aircraft cumulatively, including 44 A220 series, 271 A320 series, 10 A330 series, and 26 A350 series aircraft.
Widebody deliveries continue to be impacted by the A330 program. Airbus previously discovered a leftover tool inside the horizontal stabilizer of an aircraft awaiting delivery, prompting inspections of related aircraft in production. A330 deliveries were suspended in June and July, resumed in August with one aircraft delivered. In the first eight months of 2026, A330 cumulative deliveries reached 11 aircraft, down approximately 31% year-on-year; during the same period, A320 series deliveries increased by approximately 11% year-on-year.
In full-year 2025, Airbus delivered a total of 793 commercial aircraft, including 93 A220 series, 607 A320 series, 36 A330 series, and 57 A350 series aircraft. The company's delivery target of approximately 870 aircraft for 2026 is about 10% higher than its actual deliveries in 2025.
