Embraer Designates FL Technics as Authorized Service Center for E170 and E190 in Lithuania
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 29, Embraer announced during MRO Europe 2026 the designation of Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics as an Embraer Authorized Service Center (EASC), providing base maintenance, repair and overhaul services for E170 and E190 aircraft operated in Lithuania at its Vilnius and Kaunas facilities. The authorization covers the first-generation E-Jets and does not include the E2 family (E190-E2, E195-E2).

From Part-145 approval to EASC designation, approximately 19 months elapsed; during this period, FL Technics held heavy maintenance qualifications under the EU regulatory framework rather than service center status within Embraer's authorization system. The EASC designation brings this capability into Embraer's aftermarket network, enabling the work results to be used within Embraer's customer support system.
In terms of aircraft type boundaries, only the E170 and E190 are covered, excluding the E2 family; geographically, only the aforementioned types "operated in Lithuania" are covered, rather than the E-Jet business at all FL Technics European stations. FL Technics has provided E-Jet line maintenance since 2023 across 9 European stations—Vilnius, Palanga (Lithuania), Bergen, Oslo, Trondheim, Bodø, Ålesund (Norway), Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca (Romania)—with the line maintenance network centered on Scandinavia and Eastern Europe, while the geographic scope of this base maintenance authorization is limited to the Vilnius and Kaunas facilities within Lithuania.
The EASC for the E2 in Europe was first obtained by LOT Polish Airlines' technical division (LOTAMS) in April 2025, and Embraer subsidiary OGMA also provides E2 heavy maintenance in Europe. FL Technics' E2 pathway and this Lithuania authorization belong to different stages.
