en.Wedoany.com Reported - Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC) has intersected high-grade copper mineralization beyond the existing resource boundary at the Nyungu Central deposit within the Mumbezhi Copper Project in Zambia.

In the Phase 3 diamond drilling program, hole NCDD026 intersected 44 meters at 0.60% copper from 270 meters, and hole NCDD024 intersected 17 meters at 0.57% copper from 186.37 meters. NCDD026 also intersected 1.74 meters at 0.36% copper from 146.74 meters. Reported intersection thicknesses are downhole lengths; true thicknesses have not yet been determined.

Both wider intersections are located southeast of the Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resource boundary delineated in May 2026. The total resource at Nyungu Central stands at 154.4 million tonnes at 0.42% copper (or 0.51% copper equivalent), using a 0.2% Cu cut-off grade.

Prospect stated that these results appear to correlate with a continuous shallow airborne electromagnetic anomaly, with the mineralized system extending to the southeast and remaining open. The company has completed 13 Phase 3 diamond drill holes totaling 4,043 meters at the southern end of Nyungu Central. Six holes with visible copper sulfides are awaiting priority assay results.

One drill rig continues to test shallow mineralization beyond the existing resource location at Nyungu Central, while another rig has commenced exploration drilling at Nyungu West. Prospect CEO Sam Hosack noted that the grade and thickness of these intersections are comparable to the existing Nyungu Central resource, located in a shallow up-dip position and remaining open to the southeast.

Prospect plans to initiate a separate 6,000-meter infill diamond drilling program at Nyungu Central in late July, aimed at upgrading Inferred resources to the Indicated category. The broader Mumbezhi project hosts Indicated and Inferred Mineral Resources of 208.1 million tonnes at 0.42% copper, containing 877,000 tonnes of copper metal.

Prospect noted that the Kamafamba and Chipimpa targets are expected to be tested later this quarter, with the goal of completing a scoping study in the first quarter of 2027.
