TurkStream European Line Gas Supply Down 5% Year-on-Year in July 2026

en.Wedoany.com Reported - In July 2026, the TurkStream gas pipeline's European line delivered 1.366 billion cubic meters of natural gas, down 5% from the same period last year, according to data released by European gas transmission operators.

On a monthly basis, the average capacity utilization rate of this Black Sea pipeline rose to 86% in July from 81% in June. Since the beginning of this year, Russia's supply deliveries southward via this route have accumulated a 4% increase, reaching 10.106 billion cubic meters to date.

TurkStream is a dual-line export gas pipeline connecting Russia and Turkey, with a designed annual transmission capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters, laid along the seabed of the Black Sea. Each line of the system has a designed transmission capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters of raw gas, primarily supplying the Turkish market and transiting through Turkish territory to supply southern and eastern European countries.

Based on the full-year results of 2025, Russia's Gazprom increased its exports to Europe via this system by 8%, reaching 18.06 billion cubic meters. The company stated that the growth stemmed from new agreements signed with consumers and the optimization of daily supply schedules. This was reported by Interfax.
