en.Wedoany.com Reported - Moeve (formerly Cepsa) has launched a new ultra-fast charging station at the A28 motorway service area in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, located at kilometre 64+150 on the Viana do Castelo to Porto direction.

This charging station delivers an output of 300 kW and can charge two electric vehicles simultaneously, providing en-route rapid charging for EV drivers on a major artery along Portugal's northern coast.

Moeve's proprietary charging network currently operates a total of 33 ultra-fast charging points in Portugal, each with a minimum output of 150 kW. Depending on the vehicle model, charging takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes to reach 80% battery capacity. All charging points are open 24 hours a day and are powered by 100% renewable energy.

The company, which operated under the Cepsa brand for decades, was renamed Moeve in 2024, reflecting its strategic shift toward the energy transition. Priority areas include the development of renewable fuels, particularly green hydrogen and second-generation biofuels, as well as expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the Iberian Peninsula.
