en.Wedoany.com Reported - Atlas Air Worldwide (referred to as "Atlas") announced on August 3, 2026, that it has completed a strategic investment in Air Atlanta, acquiring a 49% minority stake in this leading global provider of aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) and aircraft management services. Atlas is a portfolio company of investment affiliates of J.F. Lehman & Company (referred to as "JFLCO").

Following this investment, Air Atlanta will continue to operate under its existing leadership team and operational structure, with its current management team retaining a 51% controlling stake in the airline operating company. The strategic partnership established between the two parties will expand Atlas's global operating platform and enhance its ability to access widebody aircraft capacity in key international markets.

Atlas has also acquired aircraft owned by companies within the Air Atlanta Group through its subsidiary Titan Aviation Holdings, and has leased these aircraft back to Air Atlanta's airline subsidiaries for continued operation. Air Atlanta's current operating fleet includes 14 widebody freighters (Boeing 747 and 777) as well as 4 Boeing 777 passenger aircraft.
