en.Wedoany.com Reported - Prepress trade house JBM has installed a Miraclon Flexcel NX Wide 4260 system at its new production facility in the Jammu region of India. Headquartered in Poanta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh, the investment adds Flexcel NX plate production capacity in Jammu and Kashmir, bringing it closer to the region's growing flexographic printing market.

JBM founder Mukesh Choudhary said flexographic printing is thriving in Jammu and Kashmir, partly thanks to government initiatives encouraging industry and investment in the region. As the only trade house in the Jammu region with a Flexcel NX system, JBM is able to support printers as the market grows. Choudhary noted that Flexcel NX plates are the go-to solution for jobs requiring strong, consistent ink density and demanding quality, predictability, and trouble-free printing. He added that JBM needs technology it can rely on, and using Flexcel NX technology will reduce troubleshooting, reduce rework, maintain strong press performance, and increase customer satisfaction.
The new Jammu facility brings JBM closer to the growing flexographic customer base in northern India, where new industrial zones and packaging demand are creating opportunities for converters and trade houses. Choudhary believes the investment also reflects the changing role of flexography in the packaging market. He said printers are looking for plates that make production simpler, more predictable, and more efficient; customer feedback on Flexcel NX technology has been very positive for some time, and when visiting customers, the difference is visible on press, specifically in predictable results, less downtime, and fewer printing issues. He emphasized that if one wants to grow a flexographic business, this is technology worth investing in.
Choudhary also highlighted the importance of Miraclon's support. He said the support received during commissioning and training was invaluable—it was not just about installing the Flexcel NX system, but also helping the JBM team understand the process workflow and how to get the most out of Flexcel NX plates on press. He believes Miraclon is the right partner for JBM's progress, both as a technology supplier and a true collaborator.
The investment in the Flexcel NX Wide 4260 system is the latest step in JBM's journey. The company began over 20 years ago, when Choudhary worked on the shop floor of a printing company and was first introduced to plate technology through wipe-on plates, sparking his interest in the prepress process. Before acquiring the Flexcel NX system, JBM grew its business through a series of progressive technology investments, from film assembly and computer-to-plate for offset, to hybrid technology and flexographic plate production. The Jammu installation is the company's first brand-new prepress system—for many years prior, its growth relied mainly on refurbished equipment and incremental investments.
Choudhary believes that with the Flexcel NX system, JBM's future is firmly focused on flexography. He said the opportunities in flexography are growing, and JBM wants to be ready for them; with the right technology and support, it can help printers in the region improve press performance while laying the foundation for its own future growth.
