Block X (Lote X) in the Talara province, operated by OIG Perú, produces 8,342 barrels of crude oil per day and is considered one of the most important fields in the basin, ranking among Peru's largest crude oil producers. The new development phase of this block includes an investment plan focused on enhancing reserve recovery, maintaining production levels, and extending the reservoir's productive life, making Talara a core hub for the domestic oil and gas industry.
UNNA Energía operates Blocks III and IV (Lotes III y IV) in Piura. According to Perupetro's May 2026 statistics, these two assets together produce 4,539 barrels of crude oil per day, placing the company among Peru's leading crude oil producers.
Block Z-69 (Lote Z-69), located along the coast of the Talara, Paita, and Sechura provinces and held by Petroperú, is another asset critical to Piura's energy future. In addition to oil production, this block also produces natural gas, with an average certified output of 3,022 barrels of oil per day and 8.5 million cubic feet of natural gas per day in December 2025, making it a key pillar of energy security on Peru's northern coast.
