en.Wedoany.com Reported - Asante Gold (TSX-V:ASE) has released its latest resource estimates for its Ghanaian mines, with measured and indicated resources totaling 4.6 million ounces of gold across the two mines as of the latest tally, essentially flat compared to December 2023 levels. The company stated that this result was achieved against a backdrop of more than 430,000 ounces consumed by mining depletion over the past two-plus years.

By mine, the Chirano gold mine holds resources of 2.53 million ounces, an increase of 443,000 ounces from the previous figure, which not only offset depletion during the period but also delivered net growth. The Bibiani gold mine's resources declined to 2.06 million ounces, primarily due to 111,000 ounces consumed by open-pit mining.
Asante Gold Chairman Malik Easah stated that the latest estimates reflect the geological endowment of the Chirano-Bibiani corridor and validate the quality of the near-mine exploration project pipeline. He noted that despite more than 430,000 ounces of mineral resources consumed by production at the two mines over the past two years, the company has maintained its overall resource base.
During 2024 to 2025, exploration activities at the Bibiani mine area were limited, but the company has increased budgets to rebuild the exploration project pipeline. To date, drilling has identified further open-pit and underground development opportunities at both Bibiani and Chirano.
Through the consolidation of the Bibiani and Chirano mining tenements, Asante holds more than 937 square kilometers of exploration area across the Chirano-Bibiani corridor. The company stated that this corridor is one of West Africa's most prospective yet historically under-explored structural settings, with cumulative historical gold production exceeding 8 million ounces.
Asante Gold is a growing mid-tier gold producer, developer, and explorer with an asset portfolio located on two of West Africa's major gold belts within Ghana.
