en.Wedoany.com Reported - Purepoint Uranium Group announced the 2026 summer drilling results from the Dorado uranium project in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. The first drill hole at the Q24 target, PG26-11, intersected a 7.4-metre radioactive anomaly interval near the unconformity, with an average downhole gamma reading of 8,760 cps, including a 0.5-metre interval averaging 38,710 cps and a maximum downhole probe reading of 50,110 cps. The interval is located at depths of 284.1 metres to 291.5 metres, and assay results for the relevant samples are still pending laboratory analysis.

PG26-11 primarily tested a strong surface electromagnetic conductor. The drill hole crossed the unconformity at approximately 285 metres depth and then entered strongly clay-sericite-chlorite altered pelitic gneiss with local fault brecciation. A chalcopyrite vein was also found 3.3 metres below the main radioactive anomaly interval, and a second radioactive anomaly interval of 6.2 metres averaging 1,010 cps was obtained between 297.2 metres and 303.4 metres. The drill hole reached a final depth of 551 metres.

Q24 is independent of the Dorado project's existing Nova discovery zone and Q23 target. This summer's drilling program also tested Q23, where PG26-10 returned radioactive anomalies of 0.8 metres averaging 1,000 cps, 1.2 metres averaging 1,030 cps, and 1.7 metres averaging 660 cps. Purepoint has identified Q24 and Q23 as priority areas for follow-up and plans to integrate this round of drilling data with MobileMT structural interpretation results to determine 2027 exploration targets.

The 2026 summer drilling program completed a total of 3,669 metres across the Nova, Q23, and Q24 areas, and site demobilization was completed in September. The Dorado project is held 50% by Purepoint and 50% by IsoEnergy, with Purepoint serving as project operator. The project is located on the eastern margin of the Athabasca Basin and covers a total area of more than 98,000 hectares. In 2025, drill hole PG25-07A in the Nova discovery zone returned high-grade uranium mineralization of 0.4 metres at 8.1% U₃O₈, contained within a 2.1-metre mineralized interval grading 1.6% U₃O₈.

It should be noted that the data announced for Q24 are downhole gamma radioactivity readings, not laboratory-confirmed uranium grades. Due to incomplete core recovery in part of the high-radioactivity interval, assay results from recoverable core are still required to determine the actual U₃O₈ grade of the interval.
