en.Wedoany.com Reported - Philippine shipping company Philippine Span Asia Carrier Corporation (PSACC) has taken delivery of the newbuild "Span Asia Go 200," the first of two 400 TEU sister ships ordered from China's Linhai Shipyard, with the second vessel, "Span Asia Go 201," scheduled for delivery in the fourth quarter of 2026.

According to shipping consultancy Alphaliner, the Span Asia Go 200 has a deadweight tonnage of 5,769 tonnes, a draft of 4.9 meters, an overall length of 107.21 meters, and a beam of 18.5 meters (seven rows), featuring a forecastle-type superstructure. The new vessel is equipped with two cranes installed on the port side, with a main engine power of 1,912 kW, and is designed for short-sea domestic routes within the Philippines.

Alphaliner noted that in terms of overall design and layout, PSACC's two vessels are highly similar—though not identical—to the four 508 TEU gearless vessels built by Linhai Shipyard for Malaysia's MTT Shipping between 2024 and 2025, and therefore the actual capacity of PSACC's two ships may be slightly higher than the reported 400 TEU.

PSACC currently operates a fleet of 17 small container ships and multipurpose cargo vessels, with a route network covering the entire Philippines. Vessel capacities range from 360 TEU to 700 TEU, with most being secondhand ships. The company is headquartered in Cebu City.
