Fort St. James Launches 2026 Exploration Program at Porcupine Property in Canada

(TSXV: FTJ) announced on August 7, 2026, that it has initiated a prospecting and rock geochemical sampling program at the Porcupine base metal-precious metal-rare earth element (REE) property in central New Brunswick, Canada. The program covers the central and northern target areas of the property, focusing on recent cut blocks as well as previously reported zinc, lead, and copper soil geochemical anomalies and induced polarization (IP) geophysical anomalies, with one target area located immediately west of the base metal-silver mineralization zone drilled by FTJ in 2018.

Prospecting and sampling in the northern area covers the region northwest to southwest of the diamond drill holes completed in 2018 (4 holes, totaling 227 meters). Each hole intersected near-surface base metal and silver mineralization, with sulfides occurring as disseminations and stringers/veins (see company news release dated July 13, 2021). Core data include: hole PO-18-3, interval 10.75 to 11.05 meters (0.30 meters long), grading 2.66% zinc, 1.86% lead, 0.42% copper, and 15.7 g/t silver; hole PO-18-4, interval 8.88 to 9.28 meters (0.40 meters long), grading 5.87% zinc, 1.39% lead, 0.64% copper, and 13.8 g/t silver. These core samples were analyzed by ALS Canada Ltd., independent of FTJ, using four-acid digestion with ICP-AES for zinc, lead, and silver, and fire assay-AA for gold; the drilling program was supervised by a qualified person.

Greenlight Resources Ltd.'s 2011 exploration results (Stea, 2011) show zinc and copper soil geochemical anomalies and IP geophysical anomalies trending northwest to southwest of the 2018 drill holes. The zinc soil anomaly is located approximately 200 to 500 meters northeast of the 2018 drill holes, with 4 samples exceeding 400 ppm zinc and a peak of 593 ppm; the copper soil anomaly peaks at 191 ppm. The IP chargeability anomaly extends approximately 200 meters west and 300 meters southwest from the 2018 drill holes, with portions of the anomaly falling within recent cut blocks. The 2011 soil samples were analyzed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. using the Ultratrace 6 method. This prospecting and rock geochemical sampling program covers the aforementioned historical anomalies and includes large areas of recent cut blocks.

Prospecting and sampling in the central area of the property are covering extensive recent cut blocks. Great Atlantic Resources Corp. reported multi-element soil geochemical anomalies in this area based on work conducted in 2015-2016, with samples returning up to 504 ppm lead, 470 ppm lanthanum, and 452 ppm cobalt (Martin, 2016). The relevant soil samples were analyzed by ALS Canada Ltd., with gold determined by fire assay-AA and 33 elements by four-acid digestion ICP-AES; the aforementioned programs were supervised by qualified persons.

FTJ has not yet verified the soil geochemical anomalies and IP geophysical anomalies discussed in this news release. Rock samples collected during the 2026 program will be submitted to certified laboratories independent of FTJ for analysis of zinc, lead, copper, silver, gold, and rare earth elements.
