en.Wedoany.com Reported - Green & Gold Minerals (ASX: GG1) has completed the first drilling in 45 years at the Copper Hills prospect within the Herberton Conductor Metals project in Queensland, recording what the company describes as its "highest-grade" drill intercepts. This drilling also marks Green & Gold Minerals' first operation at Herberton.

A total of six reverse circulation holes were drilled in this program, with three placed on the main lode, one to test the area east of the main strike, and two targeting Copper Hills West.

Drill hole CHC003, located on the main lode, intersected 5 metres at 102 metres with silver grade of 131 g/t, copper 1.05%, indium 205 g/t, tin 0.37%, zinc 9.1%, and lead 1.1%; including a 2-metre interval from 103 metres with silver 300 g/t, copper 2.35%, indium 421 g/t, tin 0.91%, zinc 19.4%, and lead 2.3%.

Another main lode drill hole, CHC001, returned a 6-metre intercept from 35 metres with silver 67 g/t, copper 0.46%, indium 11 g/t, zinc 4.1%, and lead 2.7%; this interval includes a 2-metre section with silver 120 g/t, copper 1.21%, indium 28 g/t, tin 0.05%, zinc 10.6%, and lead 6.9%.

Green & Gold Minerals stated that these results are superior to historical data in both grade and width, while also confirming tin and indium mineralisation not previously tested by earlier drilling. Combining historical results with this drilling data, the main lode extends to at least 90 metres below surface, with CHC003 indicating increases in both grade and width at depth.

Managing Director Quentin Hill said these results strengthen the case for further drilling. "Seeing both width and grade increase in our first drilling program at Copper Hills is extremely encouraging," Hill said. "These results strongly validate the Herberton Conductor Metals acquisition, and we plan to deepen drilling at Copper Hills and other prospects as soon as possible."

At Copper Hills West, drill hole CHC006 returned a 2-metre intercept at 22 metres with silver 69 g/t, copper 1.2%, and indium 86 g/t.

Green & Gold Minerals also re-processed 2007 airborne survey data, revealing a circular radial anomaly centred on Copper Hills. The company interprets the potassium-rich core and surrounding depletion zone as the imprint of a hydrothermal system associated with intrusive rocks, which may extend beneath shallow historical workings.

At the Sentinel prospect within the Chillagoe Gold project, drill hole RDR004 returned 4 gold-bearing intervals, including a 2-metre section from 32 metres with gold grade of 1.61 g/t, containing a 1-metre interval with gold grade of 2.97 g/t.

Assay results from two drill holes at Mount Gossan are expected within 4 to 6 weeks. Green & Gold Minerals plans to commence approximately 3,000 metres of drilling at Mount Wandoo in early September, conduct further work at Copper Hills in the December quarter, and undertake the first test of the Siberia lode.

Green & Gold Minerals is an Australian exploration company currently advancing the Herberton Conductor Metals and Chillagoe Gold projects in northern Queensland.
