en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Conselleria de Justicia, Transparencia y Participación of the Valencian Community has deployed over 2 MWp of photovoltaic self-consumption capacity at judicial office buildings in its jurisdiction. The department estimates that solar self-consumption facilities at judicial buildings generated more than 1.13 million kWh of renewable energy in the first half of 2026, equivalent to savings of nearly €170,000 in electricity costs.

At the operational level, with the commissioning of two new facilities—the Llíria judicial building (64.2 kWp) and the Alzira judicial building (96.6 kWp)—the judicial photovoltaic network has expanded to 25 operational plants. The renovation of the Vila-real judicial building's facilities has also pushed total peak power beyond 2 MWp.
Specifically, the rooftop work at the Vila-real judicial building in 2025 included the installation of 84 modules of 580 Wp each, with a total capacity of 48.7 kWp, mounted on south-facing precast concrete structures, with a project budget of €41,612.

The Vila-real project also involved replacing the original modules. The original modules, rated at approximately 200 Wp, were technologically outdated, had been installed during the building's construction, and lacked the ability to monitor energy savings. According to the judicial authority's estimates, the new photovoltaic facility can generate up to 63,565 kWh per year, meeting approximately 15% of the building's electricity demand.
The department stated that all facilities are equipped with monitoring systems that track power generation and assess performance, facilitating operational management and energy control of the buildings.
