GameChange Energy Commissions 23 MWp Tracker in New Zealand

en.Wedoany.com Reported - GameChange Energy has completed commissioning of the 23 MWp tracker system at the Dannevirke Solar Farm in the Manawatu-Whanganui region of New Zealand. Developed by Bright Fern Energy, this marks GameChange Energy's first completed tracker project in New Zealand.

The Dannevirke Solar Farm was developed with consideration for local seismic conditions, undulating terrain, high wind exposure, and complex logistics. The tracker system utilizes GameChange Energy's Genius Tracker™ 1P 4 String system, combined with TopoSmart™ site adaptation design, to simplify on-site installation with pre-assembled components. This project is also the first fully permitted and delivered utility-scale solar project by Bright Fern Energy in New Zealand.

Cassidy Prent, CEO of Bright Fern Energy, stated that Dannevirke is the first project delivered from its development portfolio in New Zealand, and that the GameChange Energy team provided engineering support, rapid response, and actionable solutions during the design and construction phases.

Vaibhav Joshi, Managing Director of GameChange Energy for Oceania and Southeast Asia, noted that the project faced seismic requirements, variable terrain, and weather-related construction challenges, and that the collaboration between both parties enabled the project to proceed on schedule while meeting technical and execution requirements. The project also demonstrates local developers' emphasis on long-term reliability, constructability, and real-world site performance of solar infrastructure.
