Capping Achieved! Another Key Milestone in Construction of Asia's Largest Offshore Oil Processing Platform
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 22, at CNOOC Engineering's Zhuhai Deepwater Equipment Manufacturing Base, a module weighing 2,174 tons was successfully positioned, marking the completion of the main structure capping of the topside module for the Huizhou 19-6 project, a key milestone in the onshore construction of Asia's largest offshore oil processing platform.

The new platform for the Huizhou 19-6 project is a 3-deck, 8-legged oil processing platform. The topside module stands approximately 85 meters tall, equivalent to the height of a 30-story residential building, with a projected area nearly the size of 13 standard basketball courts. Its designed float-over weight is approximately 29,000 tons, making it the largest offshore oil processing platform in Asia.
Once completed, the platform will be deployed at the Huizhou 19-6 oilfield, China's first discovered large-scale billion-ton integrated offshore deep-to-ultra-deep clastic rock oilfield.

The three-deck electrical room module hoisted this time weighs a total of 2,174 tons, making it the core structural module with the heaviest construction tonnage and highest construction difficulty since the Zhuhai base commenced operations.
