China's Huaibei-Fuyang High-Speed Railway Enters Joint Commissioning and Testing Phase

The Huaibei-Fuyang High-Speed Railway starts from Fuyang West Station, a shared station on the Shangqiu-Hefei section of the Beijing-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway and the Zhengzhou-Fuyang High-Speed Railway, extends eastward through Lixin County and Mengcheng County in Bozhou City, and ends at Shuangduiji Station on the Huaibei-Bengbu High-Speed Railway. It utilizes the Huaibei-Bengbu High-Speed Railway toward Huaibei and includes a connecting line to link with the Bengbu direction of the Huaibei-Bengbu High-Speed Railway. The newly built main line has a total length of approximately 142.5 kilometers. The line features four stations: Mengcheng, Lixin, Yingquan North, and Fuyang West, of which Fuyang West Station is an expansion of an existing station, while the others are newly built.

The Huaibei-Fuyang High-Speed Railway is jointly funded by Anhui Provincial Investment Group and the municipal governments of Fuyang, Bozhou, Suzhou, and Huaibei. Full-scale construction began in October 2022, girder erection was completed in January 2026, track laying was finished in April, and static acceptance commenced in July. Once the project is completed and operational, it will end the history of Mengcheng County and Lixin County lacking high-speed rail service, playing a significant role in improving the regional railway network layout, promoting the construction of the industrial transfer cluster zone in northern Anhui, driving the revitalization and development of northern Anhui, and better supporting national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the rise of the central region.
