en.Wedoany.com Reported - On August 20, local time, the completion ceremony of the China-aided wind power station project in Uzbekistan, led and managed by the Xinjiang Institute of China Energy Engineering Group's Zhongdian Engineering, was held at the project site in the Charbak District of Tashkent Region, Uzbekistan. Chinese Ambassador to Uzbekistan Yu Jun, Economic and Commercial Counsellor Sun Yan, Director of the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Xing Tao, as well as relevant Uzbek government officials and local representatives, attended the ceremony.

During the address segment, Yu Jun stated that this project is a benchmark project of green energy cooperation between the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative, and a typical aid demonstration project implemented by China in Central Asia. The completion and operation of the project will effectively optimize Uzbekistan's energy supply structure, provide more stable and clean electricity security for the local area, genuinely benefit the production and daily life of residents along the route, and support Uzbekistan's green, low-carbon transition and sustainable development. This is not only a concrete practice by both China and Uzbekistan in implementing global green and low-carbon development plans, but will also inject new momentum into deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership for all-weather cooperation between the two countries.

Xing Tao stated that Xinjiang, as China's bridgehead for opening to the West, undertaking this aid mission is a concrete measure to implement the consensus of the two heads of state and strengthen cooperation in the wind energy sector. This project is a local-level practical effort with green development at its core and technical cooperation as its bond. Since the project's launch, all parties have adhered to the principle of "extensive consultation, joint contribution, and shared benefits" and advanced construction to high standards. The completion of the project will undoubtedly further consolidate the foundation of local cooperation between the two sides, build a new bridge for broader and higher-level cooperation, and write a new chapter of local cooperation in building the China-Uzbekistan comprehensive strategic partnership for all-weather cooperation.

The Uzbek representative stated that this project is a demonstration project that embodies the principles of selflessness and friendship, showcasing the profound friendship between China and Uzbekistan, and demonstrating the high quality and efficiency of Uzbekistan-China cooperation. The smooth commissioning of the project will provide long-term, stable clean energy support for local economic and social development and green transition. The Chinese team demonstrated rigorous work attitudes and a high degree of professionalism throughout the construction process, strictly overseeing every stage from preliminary coordination, design optimization, equipment procurement, and construction organization to completion acceptance. They overcame multiple challenges including cross-border coordination, climatic conditions, and logistics and transportation, ultimately ensuring the project's timely completion. The Uzbek representative expressed admiration and gratitude for this.

The completion ceremony was guided by China's Ministry of Commerce, the Department of Commerce of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Chinese Embassy in Uzbekistan, with overall planning and coordination led by the Xinjiang Institute of Zhongdian Engineering, and hosted by TBEA Co., Ltd.
