en.Wedoany.com Reported - Randon (a company under Randoncorp's vehicle manufacturing segment) has completed the delivery of the first 40 railcars to Arauco Brasil, part of a 721-unit supply contract signed between the two parties.

These railcars will be used to transport pulp produced at Arauco Brasil's plant under construction in Inocência (MS, Mato Grosso do Sul) to the Port of Santos (SP, São Paulo), supporting the establishment of the logistics operation for the Sucuriú project.

The railcars are manufactured at Randon's plant in Araraquara (SP, São Paulo) and are of the Sider FLT model, developed to meet the requirements of rail freight in terms of operational efficiency, safety, and cargo integrity. The vehicles feature a full side-opening system, allowing loading and unloading from both sides to enhance operational agility.

The railcars are also equipped with anti-vandalism steel mesh tarpaulins, reinforced tensioning systems, internal partitions, and moisture-reducing technology beams to maintain pulp quality during transit.

Ricardo Escoboza, Executive Vice President (EVP) of Randoncorp's Automotive Components and Vehicle Manufacturing business segment in South America, stated that this delivery further consolidates Randon's track record in the rail and road freight markets. The company possesses solid technical expertise and extensive experience in the research, development, and manufacturing of railcars, enabling it to deliver solutions that meet requirements and quality and efficiency standards.

Each railcar has a gross weight of 130 tons and a net load capacity of 98 tons, equivalent to carrying more than 390 bales of pulp. The railcars measure 23 meters in length, 3.3 meters in width, and 4.28 meters in height.

According to the delivery schedule, the railcars will be delivered in batches of 40 units per month, expected to continue until November 2027. Completed vehicles will be shipped directly to Arauco's plant construction site in Inocência.

Alberto Pagano, Logistics and Supply Director at Arauco Celulose, stated that the high specification level of the purchased railcars reflects the company's commitment to pulp quality, ensuring that the pulp reaches customers intact; equipment production is progressing according to the established schedule so that the necessary infrastructure for transporting pulp is available from the early stages of the plant's operation.
