India's Ceigall JV Secures Rs 7.047 Billion Border Highway Contract in August

en.Wedoany.com Reported - A joint venture between Ceigall India and Sushee Infra and Mining has been awarded a highway project contract by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, valued at Rs 7.047 billion (Rs 704.7 crore). Both companies have received the Letter of Acceptance, and the contract value excludes Goods and Services Tax. Ceigall India holds a 74% stake in the joint venture, while Sushee Infra and Mining holds the remaining 26%.

The project is located on the Rada-Sarli section of National Highway 913, commonly referred to as the Frontier Highway, covering pavement work on the stretch from km 85.60 to km 168.00. This 82.4 km section will be upgraded to an intermediate-lane highway under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) model. Under the EPC arrangement, the joint venture is responsible for engineering design, material procurement, and construction tasks.

The joint venture has been granted 48 months to complete construction, followed by a five-year maintenance obligation for the highway. The company notified the stock exchange of the award on August 24, 2026, and stated that the order was placed by a domestic government entity. The announcement confirmed that promoters, promoter groups, and group companies have no interest in the agency awarding the project, and the award does not constitute a related-party transaction.

This contract forms part of the border highway network in Arunachal Pradesh and is expected to improve connectivity in remote and strategically important areas of the state. The upgrade of road infrastructure will facilitate the movement of people and goods, improve access to essential services, and promote economic activity in difficult terrain. The order strengthens Ceigall India's business footprint in road and highway construction, following the company's previous stock exchange announcement in July 2026.
