Germany's IGEL Partners with Teguar to Expand Medical and Industrial Endpoint Options
en.Wedoany.com Reported - IGEL has announced that Teguar has joined the IGEL-Ready ecosystem, with select hardware validated for use with the IGEL OS operating system. The IGEL-Ready program helps customers identify endpoint hardware compatible with IGEL solutions, and this collaboration expands the range of endpoint devices available for healthcare, manufacturing, warehouse, and other specialized operational environments.

Teguar specializes in developing computer systems for scenarios where traditional devices may not meet environmental conditions, ruggedness, or workflow requirements. Its products include rugged, waterproof industrial computers, as well as all-in-one systems and tablets designed for healthcare use.
IGEL OS is an immutable operating system for secure endpoint access, providing a secure endpoint foundation for the aforementioned hardware and helping reduce the endpoint attack surface at the source. Combined with the IGEL Universal Management Suite (UMS) centralized management platform, IT teams can uniformly handle policies, configurations, software deployment, updates, and device groups for distributed endpoints, while ensuring consistency across devices deployed in different locations and operational environments.
Jim Airdo, Senior Director of Strategic Alliances at IGEL, stated that enterprises are extending secure access to environments where endpoint reliability, physical ruggedness, and centralized governance are equally important. With Teguar joining, customers now have more validated hardware options and can build a trusted, centrally managed endpoint device layer.
Kevin Jones, Director of Global Sales and Marketing at Teguar, noted that within the framework of the IGEL-Ready program, both parties have confirmed the compatibility of Teguar's key medical and industrial products with IGEL OS, enabling customers to reliably deploy centrally managed, secure endpoints. The combination of an immutable operating system with purpose-built hardware creates a powerful solution for demanding environments.
This combination is designed to address three requirements: hardware for specialized operational environments, a secure endpoint device foundation, and centralized management of distributed devices. In manufacturing and industrial environments, Teguar hardware is suitable for scenarios where equipment must operate reliably under conditions different from those in traditional office settings. In healthcare, Teguar systems can support shared workspaces, clinical access, and other workflows that require dedicated endpoint hardware.
On validated Teguar hardware, IGEL OS serves as a unified, centrally managed endpoint foundation, supporting access to virtual applications, cloud desktops, SaaS applications, browser-based workflows, and operational systems. IGEL supports zero-trust architectures by strengthening the device layer on which access decisions rely, and with the IGEL Preventative Security Model, it delivers proven workload deployment, centralized governance, and context-aware enforcement, aligning endpoint security with the zero-trust and SSE/SASE architectures of major IGEL-Ready partners.
IGEL is a global software company founded in 2001, headquartered in Germany, with offices in San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale in the United States, and a partner ecosystem comprising 130 leading technology brands. Its IGEL Adaptive Secure Endpoint Platform is a trusted and controlled endpoint platform for secure access to cloud, VDI, DaaS, SaaS, secure browsers, enterprise applications, and OT endpoints. IGEL Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC&DR) helps restore secure access to Windows endpoints affected by ransomware, other cyberattacks, or failures.
