Talisman Metals Renews Two Copper-Silver Exploration Permits

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 1, Talisman Metals completed the renewal of two exploration permits for the Fougnar copper-silver project in Morocco, with permit numbers 3942418 and 3942419. The two permits were renewed by the regional office of Morocco's Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, extending their validity by 4 years to May 8, 2030, and may be converted into mining permits in accordance with Moroccan mining laws and regulations.

The Fougnar project comprises the two aforementioned exploration permits, covering a total area of 30.6 square kilometers, with Talisman Metals holding a 100% interest through its Moroccan subsidiary. The company is currently conducting exploration along an approximately 8-kilometer strike within known copper mineralization zones, involving at least two stratigraphic horizons. Historical trench sampling returned copper grades ranging from 0.50% to 1.45%, with silver grades reaching up to 70 grams per tonne; these figures represent historical exploration results and do not constitute current mineral resources.

This renewal follows the company's continuous exploration work carried out at Fougnar during the first half of 2026. In April, the company completed a 74 line-kilometer transient electromagnetic survey covering 18 square kilometers, with a total of 593 electromagnetic stations established. Combined with induced polarization surveys, historical trenching, and geological mapping, 11 priority copper-silver exploration targets were identified. Stream sediment sampling completed in May further identified a new target corridor of approximately 4 kilometers, covering 6 target areas.

Talisman Metals plans to initiate drilling at Fougnar in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the previously planned start date in the third quarter now adjusted back by one quarter. Drilling will focus on the existing copper mineralization strike and the identified priority targets.
