Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd Adjust Asia Feeder Network: A04 Merged into A14
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 4, Maersk announced adjustments to the Gemini Cooperation Asia feeder network, planning to merge the existing A04 service into the A14 service starting in late September, after which A04 will cease independent operations. The integrated A14 will continue to cover feeder connections between northern China and Southeast Asia, adopting a new port rotation order.

The adjusted A14 service rotation is: Xingang South Terminal—Tanjung Pelepas—Singapore—Xiamen—Busan—Xingang East Terminal—Dalian—Busan. Compared with the previous network, the new A14 will no longer call at Shanghai, and the cargo volumes previously carried by A04 will be transferred to the enhanced A14 service.
Transitional voyages have been clearly designated for this network switch. The final southbound voyage of A04 will be operated by the Seaspan Lingue 639S, scheduled to load cargo at Dalian on September 23; the first eastbound voyage of the new A14 will be operated by the UTE 639E, scheduled to depart from Xingang on September 26; and the first southbound voyage of the new A14 will be operated by the Seaspan Lingue 640S, scheduled to depart from Xingang on September 29.
Maersk stated that during the transition period, it will continue to provide alternative transport solutions for affected customers and will update specific vessel and voyage arrangements through regular booking channels. This adjustment constitutes a structural reorganization of the Gemini Cooperation's Asia regional feeder network and does not involve the suspension of the main Asia-Europe trunk routes.
