en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 12, the Beijing-Xiongan Express Line officially launched full-line trial operation. As a landmark project of the Beijing-Xiongan one-hour metropolitan area, this full-line trial operation marks a critical step toward through-running between the Beijing-Xiongan Express Line and the Beijing Subway Daxing Airport Line, as the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei on Rails" accelerates from blueprint to reality.

The Beijing-Xiongan Express Line starts at Xiongan Intercity Station and spans Beijing and Hebei across three cities, with a total length of approximately 86 kilometers. It is China's first rail express line designed for a speed of 200 kilometers per hour and operated on a transit-style model. After reaching Daxing Airport, the line connects to the Beijing Subway Daxing Airport Line and runs through to Beijing Caoqiao Station; once Lize Station opens, through-running will extend to Lize.

The Beijing-Xiongan Express Line combines the high-speed advantages of long-distance rail with the high-density, transit-style operation of urban rail, featuring rapid acceleration and deceleration and allowing passengers to board as they arrive. This means that in the future, passengers departing from Xiongan New Area can take the Beijing-Xiongan Express Line directly to Beijing Caoqiao Station and further access the entire Beijing Subway network. Passengers need only a single ticket and a single code to enjoy convenient cross-regional transfers, significantly extending their travel radius and making travel between Beijing and Hebei smoother and more efficient.

The scope of this full-line trial operation is from Xiongan Intercity Station to Caoqiao Station, and it will be implemented in two phases:

  • In the first phase, the focus will be on through-running functional tests of systems such as rolling stock, signaling, and communications, while operational teams undergo practical cross-line coordination and emergency response drills to ensure that all systems meet operational requirements under through-running conditions.
  • In the second phase, the trial operation will proceed as planned into the "diagram-running" stage, comprehensively verifying key indicators such as train punctuality rate and timetable fulfillment rate to prepare for the pre-operational safety assessment.

As important transportation support for Beijing's development of its "new two wings," the Beijing-Xiongan Express Line directly serves the strategy of relieving Beijing of non-capital functions, providing stable, efficient, transit-style travel guarantees for relocated entities and personnel. This cross-regional collaborative transportation practice is accelerating the evolution from "cross-city commuting" to "same-city living." As the line's operating conditions gradually mature, the spatial and temporal distance between Beijing and Xiongan will be further compressed, and regional integrated development will enter a new stage of higher quality.
