World's First 10,000-Tonne-Scale H-POE Plant Successfully Started Up in One Attempt

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 12, Xingchuan New Materials' world's first 10,000-tonne-scale hyperbranched polyolefin elastomer (H-POE) industrial plant was successfully started up in one attempt, and the first batch of qualified products rolled off the line and left the factory smoothly.

This marks the global first successful implementation of China's original process for large-scale production of high-end polyolefin elastomers through single ethylene homopolymerization, completely breaking the long-term monopoly of overseas traditional polyolefin elastomer technologies and filling the global gap in industrialization technology for novel hyperbranched polyolefin elastomers.

The 10,000-tonne-scale H-POE project commissioned this time features 100% independent and controllable core catalysts, polymerization processes, and production control systems.

Unlike the traditional technical route of conventional POE, which must rely on α-olefin comonomers and metallocene catalyst systems, the company's proprietary process technology achieves single ethylene one-step homopolymerization without the need for comonomers or metallocene catalysts, featuring an extremely simplified process route, mild reaction conditions, and strong safety and controllability.

The company's multi-series H-POE products can be widely used in core fields such as photovoltaic encapsulation films and automotive toughening modification. The core application technology of the project has obtained invention patent authorizations in multiple countries including China, the United States, Europe, and Japan.

The H-POE-related process package has successfully achieved technology export and has been applied to the 100,000-tonne/year H-POE project of Shaanxi Yuneng Energy & Chemical and the 50,000-tonne/year H-POE project of China Energy Investment Corporation.
