China's Hubei Huangshi 8,000-ton Rapid Forging Hydraulic Press Goes into Operation

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Xuzhou Teduan, Tianzhong (Hubei) New Materials Co., Ltd., and Hubei Tengye Machinery completed the commissioning of an 8,000-ton forging hydraulic press in Xisaishan District, Huangshi City, Hubei Province. The equipment is the core main machine of Tianzhong New Materials' high-end precision forging processing project and is also the first 8,000-ton-class rapid forging equipment introduced in Huangshi City, and will be used for the production of large, high-end precision forgings.

The Tianzhong New Materials project has a total investment of 450 million yuan. The Huangshi Municipal Government previously disclosed that the project was signed in November 2025, with construction focused on 8,000-ton rapid forging equipment and related special steel deep-processing capacity. After the project is put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of approximately 1 billion yuan.

According to the energy conservation review document published by the Huangshi Municipal Development and Reform Commission in March 2026, the project's registered name is "Annual Production of 50,000 Tons of High-End Precision Forgings Processing Project," and the project code is 2601-420203-04-01-286443. The construction content includes an 8,000-ton rapid forging machine, steel ingot rotary car, regenerative chamber-type and trolley heating furnaces, electric annealing furnaces, regenerative trolley annealing furnaces, and supporting machining equipment. After reaching full production, it will form an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of high-end precision forgings.

The 8,000-ton rapid forging hydraulic press commissioned this time undertakes the task of forging steel ingots and large steel billets into shape, and together with heating, annealing, steel ingot transfer, and subsequent machining equipment, forms a complete forging production process. The project's products will mainly target the fields of high-end die steel and large precision forging processing.

Xisaishan District is expanding the special steel deep-processing industrial chain. The local "15th Five-Year Plan" proposes to focus on the development of bearing steel, automotive steel, energy steel, aerospace steel, machinery steel, and tool and die steel, and to extend downstream to products such as large-section high-speed tool steel, extrusion die steel, stamping die steel, die-casting die steel, and precision forgings and castings; by 2030, the output value of the special steel industry is planned to exceed 40 billion yuan, and the output of die materials is to reach 300,000 tons.

After the Tianzhong New Materials 8,000-ton rapid forging production line is put into operation, it will add 50,000 tons of annual high-end precision forging capacity, and the production system will cover processes such as billet heating, heavy rapid forging, heat treatment, and machining.
