Construction of Kazakhstan's 25.8 Billion Tenge Denim and Cotton Yarn Factory Accelerated

en.Wedoany.com Reported - The government of Turkistan Region in Kazakhstan has disclosed that Hygeia Textile Kazakhstan is building a cotton yarn and denim production base in the TURAN Special Economic Zone. The project involves a total investment of 25.8 billion tenge and covers an area of 20 hectares. The first phase is scheduled to commence production by the end of 2026, and once fully operational, it is expected to provide approximately 1,000 jobs.

The project has currently entered the main structure construction phase of the factory buildings. Earthworks, foundation pouring, concrete construction, and partial steel structure installation have been completed for two production workshops, while the dormitory and office buildings are nearing completion. The construction site is staffed with approximately 40 workers and 4 pieces of construction equipment, with Qaz Build Elements serving as the general contractor.

The government of Turkistan Region is simultaneously building the external engineering conditions for the production base. Power, natural gas, water supply, and other utility pipeline networks have all entered the final stage. The project is located in the 290-hectare auxiliary industrial area of the TURAN Special Economic Zone, and the local government requires that production buildings and supporting infrastructure be completed according to the established schedule.

The factory's product system includes cotton yarn and denim, with the production end directly linked to local cotton raw material processing. The TURAN Special Economic Zone provides land, utilities, as well as tax and customs policy support to manufacturing projects settling in the zone.
