Wedoany.com Report-Jun 27, South Korean company Major Feedmill Group (MFG) finalized a deal on June 25, 2025, to purchase 266,000 tonnes of feed corn through an international tender, ensuring a steady supply for the country’s livestock feed requirements. The corn will be delivered in four batches between September and October 2025, supporting South Korea’s agricultural needs.

The first shipment of 67,000 tonnes, sourced from CJ International at $235.99 per tonne (cost and freight, plus $1.25 per tonne for port unloading), is expected to arrive by September 28. The corn is likely to originate from the United States or South America. A second batch of equal volume, acquired from Freepoint at $235.49 per tonne (plus $1.50 for unloading), is scheduled for delivery by October 10, with potential origins including South America, the United States, or South Africa.

Two additional shipments, each of 66,000 tonnes, will be supplied by ADM at $235.35 per tonne (plus $1.25 for unloading). These are set to arrive on October 17 and October 23, sourced from South America or South Africa. “These contracts reflect our commitment to securing a reliable feed supply for South Korea’s agricultural sector,” a spokesperson for MFG stated.
