Waaree Subsidiary Builds Ultra-High-Purity Specialty Gas Plant in India

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 24, Waaree Clean Energy Solutions (WCES), a wholly owned subsidiary of Waaree Energies, announced its entry into India's specialty gas business, supplying ultra-high-purity (UHP) gases and chemicals to semiconductor, solar cell, and advanced electronics manufacturers. The company is building a specialty gas plant in the GIDC Saykha industrial area in Dahej, Gujarat, India, and plans to establish a nationwide supply system across India. Waaree Energies filed the relevant announcement with the Indian stock exchanges on the same day.

The project will be built in phases. The first batch of facilities includes specialty gas storage and handling units, an ultra-high-purity ammonia purification unit, a phosphine/hydrogen (PH₃/H₂) blending unit, and ultra-high-purity oxygen and hydrogen facilities. Among these, ultra-high-purity hydrogen has already achieved commercial supply. Products such as phosphine mixtures will mainly serve doping, deposition, and other production processes in semiconductor and solar cell manufacturing.

WCES's planned product portfolio also includes silane, ammonia, nitrous oxide, boron trichloride, trimethylaluminum, diborane, germane/hydrogen mixtures, hydrogen bromide, sulfur hexafluoride, nitric oxide, fluorinated gases, and calibration gases. In addition to gas and chemical supply, the company will also provide customized gas and liquid delivery systems and nitrogen generation units, and will deploy a Total Gas & Chemical Management System covering storage, delivery, safety monitoring, and inventory management.

The specific investment amount for the new plant, the designed capacity of each type of gas, and the commissioning timeline were not disclosed in this announcement. WCES's existing manufacturing operations also include an electrolyzer stack production facility. This specialty gas project will form its new industrial gas business segment, targeting customers including Indian wafer fabs, OSAT and ATMP packaging and testing companies, advanced electronics manufacturers, and solar cell production lines.
