Shenchuang Superconductivity (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. Completes Angel Round Financing
en.Wedoany.com Reported - According to Qichacha information, on September 18, 2026, Shenchuang Superconductivity (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shenchuang Superconductivity"), a developer and manufacturer of second-generation high-temperature superconducting materials, completed its angel round financing. The investor is Shenzhen Yijun Technology Co., Ltd., and the financing amount has not yet been disclosed.

Founded in September 2022, Shenchuang Superconductivity is a high-tech enterprise focused on the research, development, and production of second-generation high-temperature superconducting YBCO (yttrium barium copper oxide) tapes. The company's technical team is led by an academician and is the first globally to master double-sided YBCO thin-film tape preparation technology. It is the only enterprise in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area engaged in the industrialization of high-performance second-generation high-temperature superconducting YBCO tapes.
High-temperature superconducting tapes are regarded as the "bottleneck" core material for the commercialization of controlled nuclear fusion. In magnetic confinement fusion devices, high-temperature superconducting magnets are the core component with the highest cost proportion, and REBCO tapes, with their strong current-carrying capacity under high magnetic fields, have become the key material for compact magnetic confinement fusion devices.
From the perspective of material properties, traditional low-temperature superconducting materials need to operate at liquid helium temperatures (-269°C), resulting in high cooling costs and dependence on scarce helium resources. High-temperature superconducting materials represented by REBCO have a critical temperature higher than the liquid nitrogen temperature (-196°C), significantly reducing cooling costs while also achieving notable improvements in current-carrying capacity and magnetic field resistance.
High-temperature superconducting tapes account for more than 30% of the value in fusion devices. According to industry estimates, the total investment in fusion projects domestically and internationally is nearly 100 billion yuan, and upstream high-temperature superconducting materials are currently in a state of severe supply shortage.
