en.Wedoany.com Reported - On September 27, according to statistics from Horgos Customs, from January to August 2026, the import and export freight volume at Horgos Port reached 31.229 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.6%. Relying on cross-border transport corridors such as highways and railways, the port's freight scale continued to grow, with import and export commodities covering multiple categories including electromechanical equipment, metal raw materials, agricultural products, new energy vehicles, and textile products.

Imported commodities mainly include electromechanical products, unwrought copper and copper materials, agricultural products, food, and metal ores and mineral sands. Among them, the import trade value of agricultural products and food grew relatively rapidly, indicating that Horgos maintains a high volume of goods flow in the cross-border logistics system for Central Asian agricultural products, food, and mineral raw materials entering the Chinese market.

On the export side, the main goods are new energy vehicles, electromechanical products, high-tech products, clothing, and textile yarns, fabrics, and their products. The commodity structure covers industries such as equipment manufacturing, automobiles, electronic technology, and light industry and textiles. The above goods enter Central Asia and the broader Eurasian market through Horgos's highway and railway transport system.

Previously released data showed that from January to July this year, the import and export freight volume at Horgos Port had already reached 27.012 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, setting a new high for the same period. After entering August, the port's cumulative freight volume further increased to 31.229 million tons, continuing to maintain the large-scale goods circulation level of a major land port in Xinjiang.
