Five New Drill Holes at Australia's Waratah Gold Mine Reveal Multi-Directional Extensions of Gold Mineralization

en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 14, Australian mining exploration company Waratah Minerals announced the final assay results from five extension drill holes in the Consols mineralized zone of the Spur gold project in New South Wales, confirming that gold mineralization continues to extend along the northern, eastern, and western margins. Among them, hole SPD089 on the eastern side intersected a 17-meter mineralized interval grading 4.10 g/t gold from a downhole depth of 944 meters, including a 2-meter high-grade interval grading 28.70 g/t gold; hole SPD047W1 on the northern side intersected a 167-meter mineralized interval grading 0.91 g/t gold from 485 meters.

Another drill hole on the eastern side, SPD090, intersected a 9-meter mineralized interval grading 3.11 g/t gold from 499 meters, and a 7-meter mineralized interval grading 3.70 g/t gold at a downhole depth of 743 meters. This hole also returned a 5-meter mineralized result grading 1.18 g/t gold at a downhole depth of 43 meters near the surface. SPD089 discovered a new mineralized interval beneath existing drill holes, based on which the company has further extended the eastern Consols mineralized extent toward depth and along strike.

Hole SPD083A in the central Consols area intersected a 70-meter mineralized interval grading 1.71 g/t gold from 666 meters, including a 9.86-meter interval from 710 meters grading 6.71 g/t gold. This hole is located approximately 100 meters south of the previous hole SPD048; after drilling through the Cothi Fault, it encountered multiple gold-bearing mineralized zones near andesite and quartz monzonite porphyry dykes. Hole SPD082 on the western side intersected a 21-meter mineralized interval grading 2.13 g/t gold from 499 meters, and a 10-meter mineralized interval grading 3.20 g/t gold at a downhole depth of 557 meters.

These drilling results follow the exploration results from hole SPD075 announced by the company on September 22. That hole had previously intersected a 46-meter mineralized interval grading 7.27 g/t gold, including a 19-meter interval grading 15.62 g/t, extending the known Consols mineralized extent 70 meters to the north and 150 meters to the east. Waratah is currently continuing drilling at Consols and adjacent targets such as Ironclad to evaluate the extension of the mineralized zones and the geological connections between different areas.
