en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 19, Canadian mining company Blue Sky Uranium announced the official launch of a new field exploration campaign at the Amarillo Grande uranium-vanadium project in Río Negro Province, Argentina. The first-phase work has been approved and funded, with a six-month execution period, and will be implemented by its Argentine subsidiary Minera Cielo Azul, with exploration funding provided by Spain's Abatare Spain through the joint venture Ivana Minerales.

Field exploration will begin in the Bajo de Valcheta area, with work including geological mapping, ground radiometric surveys and surface geochemical sampling. The exploration scope also covers targets including Don Javier, Toro and Bajo de Valcheta West, and sampling results will be used to determine locations for shallow auger drilling and subsequent geophysical surveys.

The exploration team then plans to conduct passive radon detector trials in the sedimentary cover area of the Ivana deposit, comparing measurement results with known uranium mineralization distribution. After method validation, further radon gas measurements and lead isotope sampling will be carried out along the Ivana Gateway to Ivana Central corridor, combining chargeability survey data to determine drill targets for the next phase.

The Cuatro target is planned for an initial round of approximately 500 meters of reverse circulation drilling, with specific hole locations and operating timing to be determined based on site access and permitting arrangements. Based on the first-phase exploration results, the company will evaluate subsequent geophysical surveys and additional drilling work together with its funding partner.
