en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 23, Uzbekistan National Chemical Company JSC and China Tianchen Engineering Corporation, a subsidiary of China National Chemical Engineering, signed a memorandum of understanding in Tashkent. The two parties will jointly study a chemical project that uses deep processing of coal to produce synthetic ammonia and urea. The cooperation will focus on assessing coal feedstock resources, selecting production processes, determining plant capacity, and conducting technical and economic feasibility studies of the project, while jointly exploring project investment and implementation mechanisms.

Under the cooperation arrangement, the two parties will first assess Uzbekistan's available coal resources and their suitability as feedstock for chemical production, and study the technical route for coal-based synthetic ammonia and urea production in light of feedstock supply conditions. The production scale will be determined based on resource conditions, process configuration, and economic calculation results. The related work will also involve research on project implementation plans and potential investment cooperation mechanisms.

This cooperation focuses primarily on deep processing of coal resources and fertilizer production. China Tianchen Engineering Corporation is affiliated with China National Chemical Engineering Group, and its business covers engineering design and construction of industrial projects such as chemicals and petrochemicals. Under the framework of the memorandum, the two parties will carry out technical and economic scheme validation to provide a basis for subsequent project development.
