en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 23, the St Giles Quarter mixed-use development project in the Bloomsbury area of central London, UK, entered the main construction phase, with construction contractor Bovis responsible for implementation. The project is valued at approximately £220 million and includes a 19-storey office building, residential and commercial facilities, as well as the restoration of several historic buildings. Completion is scheduled for June 2029.

The core building of the complex is One Museum Street, designed by UK architectural practice DSDHA. It features a stepped tower layout with approximately 170,000 square feet (about 15,800 square metres) of office space. The building incorporates multiple landscaped terraces and green spaces, with a design target of BREEAM Outstanding, the highest rating.

Residential and commercial facilities are distributed across several surrounding plots, with 44 homes planned, of which 19 will be affordable housing, along with the retention and restoration of 7 historic buildings. The residential works involve the conversion and new construction of buildings on High Holborn, Vine Lane and West Central Street, together with 16 shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as public spaces and pedestrian routes.

The original site included the now-demolished Selkirk House, with early demolition works carried out by John F Hunt. Bovis has been providing pre-construction services since August 2025, working with the developer and design team to develop the construction organisation plan. Project management and cost consultancy is provided by Gardiner & Theobald, structural engineering design by Heyne Tillett Steel, and MEP systems design by Scotch Partners.
