Royal Princess Completes Dry Dock in Singapore and Introduces Sanctuary Collection
en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, Princess Cruises announced that the 3,595-guest Royal Princess has completed a two-week dry dock in Singapore, which ran from October 16 to 30. The centerpiece of the refit was the introduction of the Sanctuary Collection aboard the ship, along with the addition of 20 staterooms and renovations of the Piazza atrium venue, the casino and the retail areas. Royal Princess is the first ship to complete its refit under Princess Cruises' plan to roll out the Sanctuary Collection across five Royal-class ships.

The stateroom mix for the new accommodations has been confirmed in the official disclosure: 6 mini-suites, 7 oceanview staterooms, 2 interior staterooms and 5 solo interior staterooms. The 5 solo interior staterooms are the first staterooms designed specifically for solo travelers to be introduced aboard Royal Princess.
O'Malley's Irish Pub takes over the space of the former Vines Wine Bar on Deck 5, offering Irish-style food and beverage and live music; Bellini's has expanded into the former Photo Gallery space, creating a larger bar overlooking the Piazza with more seating. Princess Casino removed the internal staircase connecting Decks 6 and 7 to enlarge the casino floor and add more slot space; the Effy jewelry store has been renovated, and the onboard retail partner has been switched to Starboard Cruise Services.
The product structure and sales arrangements for the Sanctuary Collection have been finalized. The product includes access to the Sanctuary Club (an exclusive top-deck pool and relaxation area) and the Sanctuary Restaurant on Deck 6 (adjacent to the Concerto Dining Room and open only to Collection guests). Bookable stateroom categories include suites, mini-suites, deluxe balcony staterooms, balcony staterooms, and the newly built oceanview staterooms. Stateroom sales opened on October 22, with the first voyage departing January 4, 2027, a 12-day South Pacific itinerary; Reserve Collection guests who had already booked before October 22 will receive Sanctuary Collection benefits at no extra charge (excluding the Princess Premier package).
Following the dry dock, Royal Princess will head to Australia and operate the 2026-27 season from her homeport of Sydney, covering Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, with a total of 42 itineraries and 62 departures. The ship is scheduled to depart Sydney on March 28, 2027, call at Honolulu and Los Angeles, and arrive in Vancouver on April 28, before transitioning to the 2027 Alaska season.
The rollout schedule for the Sanctuary Collection on the remaining four Royal-class ships has been announced: sales open for Regal Princess on November 5, 2026, for Discovery Princess on December 4, for Sky Princess on December 10, and for Enchanted Princess on December 17. Collection voyages on these four ships will begin between April and June 2027.
