en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, the German logistics group LIT (headquartered in Brake, Lower Saxony) announced that it has signed a purchase agreement to acquire all shares of the automotive logistics company Duvenbeck Group (headquartered in Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia). The closing is expected to be completed within 2026.

The sellers in this transaction are Duvenbeck's previous majority shareholders. In 2022, the British private equity fund Waterland acquired a 70% majority stake from founder Thomas Duvenbeck, with the founder retaining 30%. LIT is acquiring all shares of the Duvenbeck Group in this transaction, with both Waterland's 70% and the founder's 30% included in the scope of the deal. In February 2026, Waterland had commissioned PwC to initiate the sale process.

Of Duvenbeck's more than 50 locations in Europe, the countries explicitly included in the map on its official website include Spain, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Austria, forming a continuous coverage belt extending from southwestern Europe (Spain) through Central and Eastern Europe (Hungary, Romania, Slovakia) to Central Europe (Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria). LIT's existing more than 130 locations are concentrated in Germany, Europe (the core of Western Europe), and the United Kingdom; Southern and Eastern Europe are not strengths of its existing network. The acquisition pushes LIT's physical locations directly into Spain and Romania, rather than merely "covering" these markets through cross-border transport.
