en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, Philippine Airlines (PAL) issued a travel advisory announcing that due to increased flight traffic at Manila airports during the 49th ASEAN Summit and related meetings, it will cancel or adjust multiple domestic and international flights from November 14 to 18, 2026. A total of 110 affected flight records are listed, with PAL combining round-trip flights into a single record (e.g., "PR 2121/2122 Manila-Bacolod-Manila" covering both legs), involving nearly 200 actual flight movements.

The 49th ASEAN Summit and related meetings will be held in Manila from November 16 to 18, 2026, and the Office of the President of the Philippines has declared November 16 to 18 as special non-working days in the National Capital Region. PAL's flight adjustments begin on Saturday, November 14, and continue through November 18, covering airport traffic peaks during the three phases of delegation arrivals, the summit period, and departures.

The affected international routes are mainly to the Middle East, Australia, and regional destinations. Disclosed international flights include: November 14 — PR 654/655 Manila–Riyadh–Manila, PR 209/210 Manila–Melbourne–Manila, PR 306/307 Manila–Hong Kong–Manila; November 15 — PR 356/357 Manila–Jinjiang–Manila. Domestic routes cover destinations including Bacolod, Davao, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Puerto Princesa, General Santos, Cebu, Iloilo, Legazpi, Zamboanga, Tacloban, Dipolog, Dumaguete, and Roxas. PAL will continue to update the list of affected flights based on changes in airport traffic.

Affected passengers may rebook, receive a full refund, or convert to a travel fund free of charge through the "Manage My Booking" feature on the PAL website. PAL will notify affected passengers directly via email and SMS, and passengers may also check the latest status through the flight status page on the official website.

PAL stated that it is coordinating with the Civil Aeronautics Board of the Philippines, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, airport operators, and other agencies to minimize flight adjustments. PAL advises passengers traveling during the summit period to allow extra time to reach the airport due to possible road closures and stricter security screening procedures, and recommends checking in online in advance.
