en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 30, Singapore-based Ocean Network Express (ONE) ceased chartering slots on Maersk's Qilin service. ONE joined the China-Australia service in July 2026 and marketed it under the "Australia Express" (AUX) brand. With the termination of the slot charter, ONE's arrangement to sell slots on the service under the AUX brand has also ended.

The Qilin service is operated independently by Maersk with 5 vessels of approximately 2,700 TEU, with a port rotation of Shanghai-Hong Kong-Sydney-Melbourne-Shanghai. ONE's role was to charter a portion of the slots on this service and resell them to shippers under the AUX brand, without deploying its own vessels. Therefore, this termination only affects slot supply under the AUX brand, while the Qilin service continues to operate as a Maersk product.

ONE's exit leaves the AUX brand without a corresponding capacity base on the Qilin service. AUX was a marketing brand established by ONE specifically for the Qilin slot charter, with its service relying on Maersk's vessels and network rather than ONE's own capacity. Following the end of the slot charter, AUX no longer has an independent source of sellable slots on the Qilin service.
