en.Wedoany.com Reported - On October 29, TAP Air Portugal launched a direct route from Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) to Orlando International Airport (MCO), operating three times weekly on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, year-round. The inaugural flight, TP267, was operated by an Airbus A330-900neo registered as CS-TUN. Orlando thus becomes TAP's 9th destination in the United States and 2nd in Florida (after Miami), as well as the first direct connection between Portugal and Central Florida.

Flight schedules are operated under two sets of timings due to daylight saving time differences. For the inaugural week flights on October 29 and October 31, TP267 departs Lisbon at 14:20 and arrives in Orlando at 20:10, while TP268 departs Orlando at 22:40 and arrives in Lisbon at 10:30 the next day; from November 2 onward, TP267 is adjusted to depart Lisbon at 14:20 and arrive in Orlando at 19:10, while TP268 departs Orlando at 21:40 and arrives in Lisbon at 10:30 the next day. The scheduled flight time from Lisbon to Orlando is 9 hours 50 minutes, and 7 hours 50 minutes on the return, with a route distance of approximately 4,132 miles (6,648 kilometers).

The route is operated by Airbus A330 family aircraft, with the inaugural flight using an A330-900neo and subsequent flights using a mix of A330-900neo and A330-200. The A330-900neo features a three-class layout with 286 seats in total: 34 business class, 12 Economy Prime, and 240 economy class.

TAP's official website shows fares for the new route starting from 529 euros; some English-language sources record a starting price of 589 US dollars, reflecting different currencies.

TAP Air Cargo is simultaneously deploying cargo capacity on the route, offering between 45 and 60 tonnes of cargo capacity per week. The route's primary cargo targets include high-value, time-sensitive goods such as aerospace components, electronic equipment, medical technology, and industrial machinery, as well as specialty exports such as seafood and vegetables; compared with previous routings requiring intermediate stops, the direct flight saves several hours of transport time.
