en.Wedoany.com Reported - On November 2, oil well intervention technology company BlueSpark launched its new downhole scale sampling device, The Sampler, at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC 2026) in the UAE, and previewed a digital well health management platform currently under development. The new device can be used in conjunction with the company's existing pulsed power downhole tools to collect scale and other solid deposits during well descaling operations, providing sample evidence for subsequent chemical analysis and adjustment of downhole intervention plans.

The Sampler is mounted on BlueSpark's downhole operation tools and is capable of collecting solid materials removed from the wellbore and completion component surfaces during pulsed power treatment. The device supports sampling at specified depth intervals, helping operators identify scale composition at different well sections and on different completion components, and evaluate and adjust treatment methods based on sampling results.

BlueSpark's existing pulsed power technology deploys tools into the wellbore via standard electric cable, releasing short-duration high-intensity electrical pulses at target locations to remove scale and solid blockages from downhole safety valves, perforated intervals, screens, and gravel pack layers. The newly added sampling capability can bring deposits removed during treatment back to surface, providing physical evidence for scale composition analysis and subsequent treatment plan development.

BlueSpark's digital well health management platform under development is planned to integrate downhole sampling analysis results, historical operation records, and related well data to support candidate well screening for well intervention, operation plan planning, and treatment effectiveness tracking. The platform will also use data from treated wells to provide reference for developing subsequent intervention plans for adjacent wells or wells with similar conditions.

The ADIPEC exhibition showcased the technical solution combining the sampling device with digital tools. The Sampler has been officially launched as a new sampling capability, while the digital platform remains in the development and feature preview stage.
