Ukraine Harvested Almost 20 Mln Tons of Grain and Leguminous Crops

Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 9, As of August 8, 2025, Ukraine has harvested a total of 19.91 million tons of early grain and pulse crops from 5.3 million hectares. This accounts for 47% of the total sown area for these crops.

In terms of individual crops, wheat was harvested from 3.71 million hectares, yielding 14.91 million tons. Barley was collected from 1.17 million hectares, with a total output of 4.25 million tons. Peas were harvested on 223.7 thousand hectares, producing 541.2 thousand tons. Other grains and pulses covered 195.1 thousand hectares, resulting in 203.6 thousand tons.

Several regions have shown strong harvest performance. In the Odesa region, 1,070.4 thousand hectares were threshed, delivering 3.09 million tons. The Kirovohrad region processed 521 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.16 million tons. In the Poltava region, 361.3 thousand hectares were harvested, producing 1.64 million tons.

In addition to grains and pulses, rapeseed harvesting also progressed significantly. A total of 2.54 million tons of rapeseed were collected from 1.02 million hectares.

The harvesting campaign continues across various regions as Ukraine moves toward completing the collection of its early crops.
