Wedoany.com Report-Aug. 22, On August 20, Great Wall Holdings announced through its Electronic Procurement System the launch of a global tender to support Great Wall Motor (GWM)’s Ultra-Luxury Car Business Group (BG) Brand User Engagement Project. The tender seeks suppliers capable of delivering planning and execution services for events designed for ultra-luxury car customers.

The requirements specify that applicants must have an independent creative design team led by a director with proven experience working with internationally recognized brands such as Apple, Coca-Cola, LVMH, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, or Mercedes-Benz. In addition, suppliers must maintain a professional social media team skilled in cultivating key opinion consumers (KOCs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs) on platforms including Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Bilibili. Ownership of in-house production facilities for event materials is also mandatory.

The tender further outlines that between 2019 and 2024, bidders must demonstrate experience serving ultra-high-net-worth clients. Submissions must include at least one detailed case study highlighting successful luxury or ultra-luxury brand events, such as those conducted for Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Rolls-Royce, Ferrari, or Bentley. This requirement emphasizes the importance of suppliers’ established expertise in engaging with the luxury market.

This latest call for partners follows earlier tenders from Great Wall Holdings related to the ultra-luxury car BG. Previous initiatives included a “brand strategy project” for the same division, which similarly required applicants to show deep knowledge of luxury brands and insights into the expectations of high-net-worth individuals. These tenders reflect GWM’s consistent approach to building a specialized ecosystem to support its ultra-luxury segment.

GWM Chairman Wei Jianjun has previously shared details of the company’s approach to product research and development. He noted that GWM had purchased several flagship luxury vehicles—including the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Rolls-Royce Phantom, and Ferrari sports cars—for benchmarking and teardown analysis. Wei explained: “These acquisitions demonstrate our dedication to advancing high-end product development.” His comments underline the company’s commitment to ensuring its ultra-luxury offerings meet global standards.

Through the global tender, Great Wall Holdings aims to attract top-tier creative and strategic partners capable of delivering unique customer engagement experiences. By requiring suppliers to combine creative design, social media influence, and proven luxury event expertise, the project highlights GWM’s ambition to establish a strong presence in the ultra-luxury automobile market.
