Wedoany.com Report-Sept. 18, Diligence Offshore Services, a clean energy company based in Houston, has announced a partnership with AccuSolar, a U.S.-based floating solar manufacturer, to develop the Pleasure Island Power Collective in Texas. The project, located on 2,275 acres of land on Pleasure Island and Sabine Lake near Port Arthur, combines renewable energy generation with a data center, marking a significant step in sustainable energy development.
The Pleasure Island Power Collective will feature a 391 MW floating solar array, designed and manufactured by AccuSolar, alongside a 225 MW coastal onshore wind farm and a large utility-scale battery storage system. The energy generated will power a data center focused on adaptive superintelligence, which will run entirely on clean energy sourced from the project.
Harry C. Crawford III, the Founder and Managing Member of Diligence Offshore, expressed his pride in the collaboration, stating: “We are incredibly proud to partner with a fellow U.S. company like AccuSolar. Their expertise in American manufacturing and floating solar technology is essential to the success of the Pleasure Island Power Collective. This partnership not only strengthens our domestic supply chain but also accelerates our vision to bring economic freedom and climate resilience to the Gulf Coast.”
Founded in 2023, Diligence Offshore aims to be the first independently Black-owned company to develop utility-scale infrastructure of this magnitude. The project is expected to contribute to economic growth in the Port Arthur area by creating long-term manufacturing jobs and supporting the region’s transition to clean energy.
The Pleasure Island Power Collective project highlights the growing trend of integrating renewable energy technologies like floating solar, wind, and battery storage to create sustainable power solutions. This partnership not only emphasizes the potential of floating solar but also underscores the importance of strengthening local supply chains and fostering economic development through clean energy initiatives.
