Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 9, Envision Energy and ACWA Power have signed a seven-year framework agreement to cooperate on renewable energy projects in Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, and across Central and Eastern Asia. The collaboration covers wind turbine supply, technology cooperation, operations and maintenance services, and joint business development in China.
The agreement also aims to support local manufacturing, including turbine component production and service infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, alongside concrete tower and blade capacity in Uzbekistan, strengthening regional industrial capabilities.
Kane Xu, senior vice-president and president of international product lines at Envision Energy, said: “By integrating Envision's smart wind turbine technology and global localization expertise with ACWA Power's multinational project development capabilities, we are committed not only to driving the green transformation in countries like Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan, but also to establishing a viable cooperation model for emerging markets worldwide - demonstrating how global collaboration can collectively shape a more secure, cleaner, and resilient energy future.”
Marco Arcelli, chief executive of ACWA Power, said: “True energy transition requires solutions that deliver environmental and economic value simultaneously - it requires reliable technology, bankable business models, and tangible empowerment of local industrial ecosystems.”
He added: “Together, we will bring cutting-edge technology, localized job opportunities, and long-term energy resilience to our host countries, accelerating the realization of their national energy blueprints.”
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing renewable energy development while fostering regional economic growth and industrial capacity. Envision Energy’s smart wind turbine technology combined with ACWA Power’s project development expertise aims to optimize project efficiency and reliability, providing scalable solutions for emerging markets.
By establishing localized manufacturing and service infrastructure, the collaboration is expected to create jobs, transfer skills, and strengthen the renewable energy supply chain in the target countries. Concrete towers and wind turbine blades produced locally in Uzbekistan will support both domestic and regional energy projects, while component and service hubs in Saudi Arabia will enhance operational resilience and reduce reliance on imports.
The initiative is part of a broader strategy to accelerate the global energy transition by integrating technological innovation, local industrial participation, and sustainable business practices. Both companies emphasized the importance of international cooperation in delivering energy solutions that are reliable, economically viable, and environmentally responsible.
The framework agreement positions Envision Energy and ACWA Power as strategic partners in driving renewable energy deployment across Central and Eastern Asia, with long-term impacts expected on energy security, emissions reduction, and industrial growth. It also serves as a model for multinational collaboration in emerging markets, demonstrating how combined expertise in technology, project execution, and local engagement can accelerate sustainable energy adoption.
In summary, the seven-year partnership aims to advance wind energy projects, enhance local manufacturing, create skilled jobs, and support national energy strategies, reflecting a practical and forward-looking approach to the global renewable energy transition.
