Wedoany.com Report-Dec.9, The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA), headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, has appointed Jenn Klein as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 12, 2026, following a nationwide search.

SOCMA Board Chair Mara Gliozzi stated: "Jenn is the right leader for SOCMA at the right time. She is a visionary, collaborative leader with a deep understanding of our industry and a strong record of results. She has built meaningful partnerships throughout her career and strengthened every organization she's led. The Board is confident she will bring that same focus, discipline, and enthusiasm to SOCMA."

Klein currently serves as President of the Ohio Chemistry Technology Council (OCTC), a position she has held for over ten years. During her tenure, OCTC membership grew by 85 percent and organizational assets increased by 71 percent, establishing a solid foundation for sustained growth and greater industry advocacy.

"I'm honored to lead SOCMA at this crucial time in history," said Klein. "Specialty and batch manufacturers embody the very best of American manufacturing. We make essential products, fuel innovation, and keep supply chains moving. SOCMA's members need a predictable regulatory environment and strong support from policymakers. I will champion those priorities and ensure that North America remains the global standard for safe, innovative, and reliable chemical manufacturing."

Prior to OCTC, Klein held senior leadership roles at Chesapeake Energy, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. She also served in policy positions within the Ohio Senate and the New York State Assembly. Her career has been marked by effective advocacy, modernized governance practices, and the development of high-performing teams focused on policy, communications, and member services.

Klein's appointment positions SOCMA, which represents specialty and custom chemical manufacturers across North America, for continued advancement in advocacy, regulatory affairs, and member support as the industry navigates evolving policy and market dynamics.
