Wedoany.com Report-Dec.14, Nexus Minerals has provided a positive exploration update for its 100%-owned Wallbrook gold project, located 140 km north-east of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Systematic regional exploration has matured five high-priority prospects—Branches, Payns, Clement, Amand, and Godfrey—to the stage where resource definition drilling is now planned.
Resource definition RC drilling is scheduled for Q1 2026.
The prospects display substantial surface footprints: Branches (1,500 m × 300 m), Payns (650 m × 250 m), Clement (900 m × 750 m), Amand (1,700 m × 600 m), and Godfrey (1,200 m × 100 m). All targets lie on granted mining leases adjacent to existing roads and power infrastructure and close to the company's Crusader-Templar deposit, which offers potential for near-term production.
These discoveries form part of the broader 192 km² Wallbrook tenement package, highlighting significant scope for further gold mineralisation across the project area.
A recently completed aircore drilling programme totalling 295 holes for 10,113 metres targeted the Branches prospect extensions and the MC3.3 area. Results confirmed strong continuity along strike both north and south of previous reverse circulation drilling at Branches, while new parallel mineralised zones were identified to the east, expanding the overall mineralised envelope.
Resource definition reverse circulation drilling across the five prospects is scheduled to commence in the first quarter of 2026.
Nexus Minerals managing director Andy Tudor said: "The Nexus exploration team has delivered an exceptional year of progress, with five regional prospects now advancing toward resource definition drilling.
"These discoveries are the direct result of a disciplined and methodical 18-month programme, and they highlight the scale and quality of the emerging gold camp we are uncovering at Wallbrook. With mineralisation defined across multiple corridors–and all prospects remaining open–we see clear potential to expand the project's Mineral Resource inventory.
"Importantly, this new growth is emerging in a district already supported by near-term production potential at the Crusader–Templar deposit, with the broader project also situated alongside current gold-producing Northern Star operations. This combination of resource expansion and proximity to existing infrastructure presents a compelling strategic advantage. As we move into the next phase of work, Nexus is well positioned to expand these opportunities into long-term value for shareholders."
The update demonstrates continued exploration success at Wallbrook, reinforcing its potential to host multiple economic gold deposits within a highly prospective and infrastructure-rich region of Western Australia.
